About The Position

Sir Walter Chevrolet is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Technician to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various automobile issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry and is an individual contributor role.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Service Technician in the auto industry
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

Technical certification in automotive repair or equivalent experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension systems
Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Communicate with Service Advisors to understand and address the Customers concerns
Use diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to accurately identify and resolve issues
Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance services performed
Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and training opportunities
