Requirements

  • Adherence to the company's uniform policy
  • Preferably, previous auto repair and dealership service department experience
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and focused on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Proficient in using shop equipment and must have own tools
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays under a rotating schedule

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently perform work as outlined on repair orders
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle automotive systems
  • Collaborate with the parts department to acquire necessary parts
  • Thoroughly examine vehicles for additional safety or service requirements
  • Promptly communicate with service advisors for any unnecessary work
  • Document all work performed accurately
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop area
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide detailed labor and time estimates for additional repairs
  • Effectively communicate mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and customers
  • Participate in ongoing formal training to stay current with advancing technology
  • Handle any other tasks as assigned
