YOUR ROLE We are currently looking for a Graduate Electrical/Electronics Engineer to join our Biomedical Service Department based in Auckland as a Service Technician. The primary responsibility of the Service Technician is to carry-out general maintenance and servicing on a range of medical devices. Although position is based mainly in Avondale, as part of the role, you may be required to travel within NZ and across Auckland region If you are passionate about providing exceptional customer experience, prepared to work hard and have qualification in electronics or electrical, then we would like to hear from you.

Requirements

  • qualification in electronics or electrical
  • High attention to detail and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new products and systems
  • Physically fit and pre-employment medical check will be conducted prior to employment
  • full current driver’s license
  • NOTE: only candidates with valid rights to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally, with previous experience performing troubleshooting and repairs of medical devices or in similar field
  • Working knowledge of AS/NZS 3551:2012 preferable
  • Ideally, EAS or EST license

Responsibilities

  • Pre-sale inspections, preventative maintenance (annual WoFs), repairs, and calibration of a wide range of medical devices, to required quality and standards, capturing all data and costs.
  • Providing the above services at our head office in Avondale, as well as on USL customer sites at various medical centers/clinics/retirement village locations within Auckland and across NZ.
  • Working on a wide range of devices with various complexity levels including but not limited to mobility equipment, medical beds, patient monitors, oxygen concentrators, sleep devices, critical devices like ventilators & defibrillators.
