Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
  • Ability to identify problems quickly
  • Ability to learn new technology, repairs and service procedures and specifications
  • Able to operate diagnostic equipment and computers

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnoses, maintains and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
  • Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
  • Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain shop special tools and equipment and return when jobs are completed
  • Maintain Bay in an orderly manner
  • Ensures that customer vehicles are kept clean and undamaged
