About The Position

As a Service Technician with Weather Tite Windows, you will be responsible for executing service and warranty work for our valued customers, ensuring high standards of workmanship and structural integrity. Reporting directly to the Service Technician Manager, you will provide white glove customer service by performing diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and part replacements while maintaining professional customer interactions. This field-based role requires daily office check-ins for paperwork and coordination, utilizing digital tools like our company CRM and Company Cam to document project progress. Ultimately, you will serve as a technical expert dedicated to resolving backlogged warranty claims and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with window and door installations or experience as a window and door service technician.
  • Experience with standard hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in diagnostic, and repair of various window and door systems.
  • Experience using Company Cam or similar photo-based apps to capture high-quality project evidence for warranty verification
  • Ability to maintain clean and detailed digital notes within a CRM system to ensure seamless office-to-field communication.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent schedule, including daily morning office check-ins for paperwork and logistics coordination with management.
  • Excellent verbal skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to homeowners in a reassuring and clear manner.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to complete a drug test and driving record check

Responsibilities

  • Perform warranty claims, transforming frustrated customer situations into positive experiences through transparency and high-quality workmanship.
  • Conduct onsite evaluations to diagnose window and door failures, including air/water infiltration, mechanical malfunctions, structural misalignments, and glass issues.
  • Perform expert-level repairs such as replacing glass packs, replacing balancers, and caulking.
  • Using your experience to identify and resolve issues related to improper original installations or settling.
  • Act as the face of the company, providing onsite education to homeowners on proper product operation and maintenance.
  • Explain technical issues in easy-to-understand terms and set realistic expectations for part delivery or follow-up visits.
