Service Technician - Idealease
About The Position
The Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing refrigeration systems, specifically Thermo King and Carrier units, on medium to heavy-duty trucks. This role also involves performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards, completing work orders, and documenting all repairs and maintenance activities. Additionally, the technician will advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling solutions as needed. The position is with Rechtien International Trucks and its Idealease division, a growing South Florida truck dealership founded in 1981. The company provides truck sales, parts, and service for commercial vehicles across 4 convenient locations in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Riviera Beach, and Ft. Pierce, Florida. They are an authorized dealer for International brand trucks, Ottawa yard spotter tractors, and new tow trucks from Miller Industries, as well as an authorized IC Bus parts, service, and warranty service center. As an Idealease affiliate, they offer full-service truck leasing, daily, weekly, and long-term truck rental, and contract maintenance.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with refrigeration systems and related technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for customer interaction and documentation.
- Competent technical knowledge and experience to effectively diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on medium to heavy duty trucks.
- Highly motivated, detail oriented technician with a “can do” attitude.
- Ability to produce quality work.
