About The Position

As a Trek Service Technician/Advisor at the Trek Store Salt Lake City, the role involves caring for bikes to ensure owners love riding them. This includes troubleshooting repairs, servicing various bikes on the spot, and installing accessories. Technicians will also be the first to work with new bike models before they are available for sale. A key aspect of the role is building relationships with customers who rely on the technician to maintain their gear. This position directly supports the Service Manager, and in their absence, the technician acts as the primary customer contact for the department. The company values stellar customer service and a willingness to learn, prioritizing fantastic hospitality skills over prior shop experience, given the constant interaction with customers to evaluate issues and recommend repairs. The role requires elevated skills in communication, leadership, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot repairs and service all kinds of bikes on the spot
  • Install awesome accessories customers select for their new bike
  • Be the first to have your hands on brand new models before they hit the sales floor
  • Build relationships with people who trust you to keep their gear running flawlessly
  • Act as the face of the department to customers when the Service Manager is not available
  • Constantly speak with customers to evaluate issues and recommend repairs
