The Service Technician Trainee program is designed to provide hands-on training for individuals interested in learning the trailer repair trade. Trainees will be supplied with a starter tool set and toolbox, then paired with an experienced service technician who will mentor and guide them through the program. As skills and knowledge increase, responsibilities and independence will grow, setting trainees up for long-term success within the company. What You Will Learn: Through structured, on-the-job training, you will gain practical skills in: Brake Systems: inspection, repair, and replacement of air brake components Suspension Systems: troubleshooting and repairing suspension assemblies Welding & Fabrication: steel/aluminum welding, cutting, and basic fabrication techniques Trailer Types: repair and maintenance of chip trailers, dump trailers, lowboy trailers, flatbeds, and other equipment Preventative Maintenance: performing DOT inspections, lubrication, and safety checks Electrical Systems: diagnosing and repairing trailer lighting and wiring Hydraulic Systems: assisting with troubleshooting and repairs Shop & Lot Operations: organizing trailers, ensuring a clean work environment, following safety protocols Teamwork & Communication: working alongside skilled technicians and service advisors to complete jobs efficiently No prior experience is required! This is a learning role with growth built in.
