About The Position

Hendrickson Fire Rescue , New York's largest Emergency Vehicle dealership is expanding with a new facility in Rockland County. Get in on the ground floor as we look to build an All Star team to service our Hudson Valley customers. We are looking for experienced Heavy Duty Vehicle Technicians who take pride in their work and want to support their community and first responders.

Requirements

Minimum three years hands-on experience in Emergency Vehicle fleet repair
Cummins, Ford, or other engine manufacturer Diagnostic Tool proficiency
Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds
Valid driver’s license
Must possess personal tools
Positive team-player attitude
Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive

Nice To Haves

CDL preferred but not required
ASE and EVT Certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks
Assist in education of the Route Sales Representatives’ pre and post-trip inspections
Maintain work area ensuring organization and cleanliness
Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
