Requirements

3–5 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician or mechanic
Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment such as John Deere, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Case CE, and more
Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic diagrams
Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Must possess basic tools of the trade
Comfortable using laptop computers and basic software applications
Strong communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours when needed
Willingness to work in various environmental conditions
Ability to solve problems independently with little supervision

Responsibilities

Performing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and major repairs on heavy construction and forestry equipment
Using strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Applying root cause analysis to solve complex problems
Working with the Service Advisor and Service Manager to provide accurate machine information, including: Make, model, and serial number Parts, tools, and supplies used Identification of additional repairs needed
You’ll play a critical role in keeping our customers productive and their equipment operating at peak performance.
