About The Position

We’re expanding in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and looking for a mechanically inclined, self‑motivated Service Technician to join our team. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and being out in the field—not stuck behind a desk—this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to lift/move up to 125 lbs
  • Valid U.S. work authorization; must pass background & screenings
  • Be prepared for the day, every day. The role of an Installer or Service Technician is required to go where the customer and equipment are.
  • Be prepared for travel that may require an overnight stay.
  • Be prepared for the job by ensuring you have the right parts and tools.
  • Report to work/job site on time. It is a basic expectation to report to work on time. When reporting to a customer location proper preparation for the day and travel time should be considered in order to meet this expectation.
  • Be dependable. You are the face of our company to the customer. Represent the company in a positive light by doing what we said we were going to do. Help us meet our commitments, deadlines and give attention to detail while completing the job. Don't take shortcuts, these likely include skipped steps and ultimately lead to the need to return.
  • Communicate consistently. Contact your supervisor/manager when there are questions, roadblocks or safety concerns. Each job has multiple challenges and unique circumstances. Your supervisor/manager is your resource for overcoming these.
  • Perform all tasks safely. Use the proper PPE for the job. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Use proper lifting techniques and help one another.
  • Have a positive attitude. Don't be the person bringing the team down. Bring your best to work every day. Being in the right mental state will serve to keep you focused and promote safety.
  • Essential education, licenses, certifications, skills and experience needed for this position:
  • Required to pass a background, physical, drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies and commitment to company values.
  • The field Service Technician delivers exceptional customer service while representing the Century Laundry Distribution team.
  • They will be required to drive a company vehicle and maintain high safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical is a plus
  • AA or Technical degree a plus
  • Previous experience in HVAC, Plumbing and/or Electrical industry a plus
  • Commercial laundry industry knowledge a plus
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and troubleshoot commercial laundry equipment
  • Travel up to 75% of the time (some overnights)
  • Communicate with customers to provide solutions and great service
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and follow all safety procedures
