About The Position

Curtze Food Service, one of the nation's largest independent foodservice distribution companies, is seeking a Service Technician. This role focuses on the repair and service of commercial kitchen dishwashing and beverage equipment. The technician will perform customer on-site installations, repair, and maintenance of beverage dispensing machines, as well as the installation, calibration, and maintenance of chemical dispensers. The position includes in-service training for customers in assigned areas. On-the-job training is provided for individuals with a maintenance/technical background. The company has been independently owned and operated for 145 years.

Requirements

Express strong troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work independently
Require holding a valid driver's license (clean MVR is also required)
Previous related service repair experience
Previous route experience
Experience working independently

Nice To Haves

Plumbing and electrical experience
Institutional chemical experience
Associated degree with courses in communication, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance

Responsibilities

Installs, repairs, and maintains beverage machines at customer locations.
Installs, repairs, and maintains chemical dispensers.
Selects the appropriate beverage/chemical machine(s), dispenser(s), and parts according to the invoice and service schedule.
Explains proper operation and cleaning procedures, including in-service training when necessary.
Performs emergency repair service (after hours, weekends, and holidays) on an on-call rotation basis.
