About The Position

Curtze Food Service, one of the nation's largest independent foodservice distribution companies, is currently seeking a Service Technician focusing on the repair and service of commercial kitchen dishwashing and beverage equipment. This job pays $18 - $23/hour PLUS bi-annual bonus, commission on parts sold, AND rotating weekend on-call pay. You will have a company service van and start from your home each day. ON-THE-JOB TRAINING is provided if you have a maintenance/technical background. Plumbing and electrical experience, as well as institutional chemical experience, are very helpful. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who enjoys a challenge and wishes to join an independently owned and operated company that has been in business for 145 years. The Service Technician is responsible for customer on-site installations, repair, and maintenance of beverage dispensing machines. Chemical responsibilities include the installation, calibration, and maintenance of chemical dispensers. The technician performs in-service training for all customers in assigned areas. This position reports to the Chemical Program Director and requires being on call on rotating weekends for emergency service calls. A clean MVR is also required.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Installs, repairs, and maintains beverage machines at customer locations.
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains chemical dispensers.
  • Selects the appropriate beverage/chemical machine(s), dispenser(s), and parts according to the invoice and service schedule.
  • Explains proper operation and cleaning procedures, including in-service training when necessary.
  • Performs emergency repair service (after hours, weekends, and holidays) on an on-call rotation basis.
