About The Position

Position: HVAC Service Tech Reports To: Service Manager Purpose The HVAC Service Tech will provide routine maintenance and service to residential customers as well as trouble shoot issues and provide solutions. Essential Job Functions E Runs diagnostics, completes repairs, and runs routine maintenance on residential gas furnaces, electric furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning units, ductless mini-splits, duct work, etc. E Educate customers by offering proactive repairs, system upgrades, and maintenance agreements. E Use an iPad to create customer invoices and communicate with the office. E Travel to job sites within the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer. E Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in your company vehicle. E Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary. E Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain and replacement parts, calibrate system to manufactures recommendations. N Other duties as assigned. Work Hours This is a non-exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business. Overtime may be required based on the needs of the business. Competencies Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must have good oral and written communications skills. Observe all company procedures and safety rules. Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have basic computer skills and be able to utilize mobile device throughout the workday. Education and Experience Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an HVAC residential service technician. Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history. Must be able to pass a background and drug screening Work Environment Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet, snow, hot and humid conditions. Subject to dark confined workspaces such as crawl spaces and attics. Physical Demands Moderate to heavy working conditions. Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel. Must be able to lift 100+ pounds at a time. Supervisory Responsibility None. All questionable matters are referred to Supervisor. Travel Willing to travel within the following counties King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, Island (travel may occur within other counties). Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an HVAC residential service technician.
