About The Position
Field Service Technician / Service Engineer / Compressed Air Systems required to join a growing compressor service company based in San Diego. The Field Service Technician / Service Engineer will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on screw compressors, vacuum pumps, and other compressed air equipment. The technician will travel across San Diego, with some potential travel to Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. The ideal Field Service Technician will have experience in compressed air systems, with a solid understanding of screw compressors, pneumatic systems, and vacuum pumps. Experience with mechanical and electrical fault finding, as well as working with rotating equipment, is essential. A flexible approach to customer needs and a strong work ethic are key to success in this role.
Requirements
- Experience in compressor systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum pumps, or similar equipment.
- Ability to perform diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with customers.
- Flexible availability to travel for occasional out-of-town work.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with screw compressors and rotating equipment is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs on various compressed air equipment.
- Travel within the San Diego area and occasionally to Los Angeles.
- Provide excellent customer service and troubleshooting support.
