Job Description: The HVAC Warranty Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing parts on HVAC systems covered under warranty, including both residential and commercial equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise to handle the majority of diagnostic tasks independently, while maintaining a high level of professionalism in interactions with builders, property owners, facility managers, and team members. The technician will ensure that all work is thoroughly documented for accurate warranty processing, promote value-added services, and contribute to collaborative team efforts. Success in this position requires a commitment to technical excellence, customer relationship building, and continuous learning to stay current with industry best practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
HVAC Apprenticeship or Journeyman License
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Basic electrical knowledge preferred
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in varied environments (heights, tight spaces, outdoors)
Strong work ethic and professionalism
5+ years experience as an HVAC residential service technician.
Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history.
Able to pass a background and drug screening
Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Must have good oral and written communications skills.
Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have basic computer skills and be able to utilize mobile device throughout the work day.

Responsibilities

Technical Excellence Perform diagnostics, repairs, and part replacements on HVAC systems.
Independently handle and complete 90%+ of diagnostics independently.
Relationship Building Develop and maintain strong and effective professional client relationships.
Interact professionally with homeowners, property managers, and team members.
Documentation & Warranty Processing Accurately document all work performed
Ensure all required information is captured for proper warranty reimbursement.
Value Building Educate warranty customers and homeowners on maintenance memberships
Promote extended third-party labor warranties
Recommend appropriate value-added upgrades when applicable
Team Collaboration Coordinate with field technicians and office staff as needed
Support team objectives and company standards
Continued Education Participate in training and professional development
Stay current on industry best practices and evolving HVAC technology
Standard Service Technician Assist with non-warranty service calls when warranty demand is limited
