About The Position

The Service Supervisor position ensures proper repair and servicing of all the vehicles in the service department. The Service Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, leading and controlling the flow of service work through the service department in a professional and timely manner while ensuring quality repairs to the customer.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three to Five years of experience in an auto repair facility
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening
  • Authorization to work in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, on-the-job assistance to technicians experiencing difficulty diagnosing and/or repairing vehicles.
  • Review the diagnostic results of technicians performing new and/or unfamiliar diagnostic procedures before major repairs have begun.
  • Provide diagnostic and test drive assistance on the service lane as needed by the service sales staff.
  • Maintain the highest possible standards of workmanship; perform quality checks.
  • Schedule, assign, and supervise work with the objective of maximizing the balance of quality, productivity, and profit.
  • Meet regularly with team leaders, Service Manager/Director to report on shop production and review pending administrative matters.
  • Accomplish the production standards that have been established by the General Manager and the Service Director/Manager.
  • Ensure that technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures.
  • Prepare estimates when required, review any estimates with the Service Director/Manager before quoting.
  • Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.
  • Ensure service employees are following established safety protocols; ensure shop equipment in proper working condition; immediate reporting of safety incidents.
  • Review hard copy invoices turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been performed and the repair order has been completed properly.
  • Meet customer service standards by achieving above district' customer service information CSI scores.
  • Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
  • Maintain professional personal appearance.
  • Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
  • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
  • Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
