Responsibilities

  • Assist Service Operations Manager with job duties and responsibilities.
  • Champion corporate and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals.
  • Monitor and direct customer traffic flow.
  • Ensure coverage of checkout lanes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of front-end sales floor, restrooms, front entryway, and parking lot.
  • Maintain fresh, full appearance of checkstand merchandisers and ensure proper signage.
  • Serve as a cashier when needed.
  • Comply with and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, including:
  • Cash Handling
  • Employee Purchase
  • Restricted Product Sale (alcohol and tobacco)
  • Coupon and Gift Card policies
  • Scan accuracy
  • Supervising minor employees
  • Product Return Policy
  • WIC
  • Sanitation, safety, and security
  • Grooming and dress code standards
  • Check acceptance
  • Report policy violations to store management.
  • Ensure accurate operation and function of the Point of Sale system.
  • Handle and assist with accountability for cash flow requirements:
  • Safe transactions, issues, and pickups.
  • Tills, check acceptance, and refunds.
  • Monitor cashier funds handling procedures.
  • Work with Scan/FMC Team to ensure scanning file problems are corrected promptly.
  • Running totals on all tills.
  • Preparing and proofing daily deposit slips.
  • Completing all Front-End forms.
  • Reporting problems to the Service Operations Manager.
  • Understand all aspects of the customer service center and provide services as required.
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately.
  • Perform all job duties with honesty and integrity and in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Other necessary and required duties as assigned.
