This position involves completing work assignments and priorities by utilizing company policies, data, and resources, and collaborating with various business partners. The role requires identifying priorities, meeting deadlines, communicating progress, and adapting to feedback. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards is essential. The technician will perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on a variety of Walmart equipment, including trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, and service vehicles. This includes creating and processing work orders, assessing maintenance needs, identifying parts and solutions, and conducting repairs such as brake system component replacement, wheel seal replacement, and tire mounting/installation, all while adhering to company and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines. Communication with customers, suppliers, and associates, along with accurate documentation, is also a key part of the role. Additionally, the technician is responsible for receiving fuel drops and conducting fuel sampling, ensuring safety compliance and proper documentation.
