About The Position

This role involves being an outside service sales representative focused on selling HVAC preventative maintenance contracts, recommendations for service, repair, and turnkey project work for HVAC systems. The position involves travel within the Columbus area and occasional office meetings in Westerville. Enjoy full autonomy over your schedule, starting your day from home and visiting client sites.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of B2B commercial HVAC-specific sales experience is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of the HVAC industry, with experience in HVAC sales.
  • Self-starter who can work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts is preferred.
  • Experience in the commercial HVAC industry is preferred.
  • HVAC service sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create a clearly defined sales plan to meet sales goals by developing existing customer relationships and prospecting for new business.
  • Learn about current and potential customers' operations, understand their challenges, and customize solutions to meet their needs.
  • Prepare and present technical sales proposals, including cost estimates and pricing quotations.
  • Perform tests and surveys to determine the need for product alterations or development of new products.
  • Analyze products and selling techniques to improve sales strategies.
  • Develop a pipeline of future sales opportunities.
  • Create sales cost estimates and proposals for small projects.
  • Project manage small turnkey and service repair work.
  • Collaborate with project developers, project managers, and the operations team to propose large turnkey and service repair work.
  • Coordinate the preparation of cost estimates for large projects and lead team sales efforts.
