About The Position

Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation is an accredited, gold medal award-winning agency with over 45 full-time professionals and over 300 seasonal and part-time staff who provide the Lee's Summit community with dozens of quality recreational opportunities. EOE Employment at LSPR guarantees the opportunity to learn communication and organizational skills, professionalism, and civic responsibility while building outstanding personal and work relationships. $15.40/hour Responsible for handling telephone requests, assisting patrons and performing a wide variety of administrative functions related to the operations of Summit Waves; monitoring admissions to the facility; processing high volumes of season and single visit pass transactions, with responsibility for maintaining critical cash controls; assists with scheduling of facility activities and reservations as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • High school diploma and some college preferred.
  • At least one year experience in customer service preferred.
  • Basic first aid, AED and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary point of contact for department patron service. Assists patrons with inquiries and other related needs. Responds to telephone requests and assists patrons with a wide variety of questions.
  • Collects payments for season passes, single visit passes, and other admission or reservation related transactions.
  • Monitors facility admissions and ensures patrons possess proper passes.
  • Creates, maintains and performs data entry into the RecTrac System.
  • Maintains administrative records and files for the facility.
  • Processes financial transactions for primary registration center and maintains all transaction history.
  • Accepts payments and balances start up cash in drawer and drop.
  • Performs opening and closing janitorial cleaning duties and as needed during shift.
  • Rotates to assist Slide Attendant and other facility staff as needed.
  • May operate public address system as needed and directed.
  • May assist patrons with other Parks and Recreation transactions or needs.
  • Maintains safety by following LSPR guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of LSPR.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
