Service & Repair Technician - Orbitalum
About The Position
Are you a hands-on technician who likes fixing problems, staying organized, and being the go-to person when things need to get done? Orbitalum, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Rental Service & Repair Technician in our Greer, SC rental facility. As a Service & Repair Technician, you’ll handle everything from rental equipment management and repairs, shipping/receiving, and computer-based tasks. You’ll also help manage day-to-day building needs, work directly with customers, and prioritize work as situations change. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Perform computer related tasks such as order entry, inventory transactions, and shipping paperwork Responsible for rental repairs including installing replacement parts to rebuild rental equipment Maintain rental facility, inventory, and the equipment needed to test machines Log equipment in and out of the system based on customer info provided Able to complete repair estimates for customer-owned equipment Communicate with the sales team to understand customer requirements Keep area clean and perform all duties in a safe effective and efficient manner Additional duties and tasks as assigned WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: Strong communication skills Problem-solve as necessary Ability to work independently Comfortable managing multiple tasks and reprioritizing as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: HS diploma, GED and/or 1 year of relevant experience Ability to interpret drawings and specifications. Aptitude with various power tools preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
