About The Position

Tri-State Bobcat is seeking an experienced Service and Rental Manager to join the team at our Hudson location. This role is key to ensuring the department runs efficiently and profitably, with a focus on outstanding customer service, timely high-quality repairs and invoicing. You'll manage a team of technicians, coordinate closely with other departments, and drive continuous improvement in service operations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working with equipment operations, service, or rental
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand equipment functionality
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CDK/Intellidealer systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the service department and rental fleet
  • Manage workload and efficiency of service technicians
  • Create, assign, and track service work orders to ensure timely completion
  • Provide accurate repair estimates and communicate job status updates to customers
  • Ensure proper documentation, invoicing, and quality control on all service jobs
  • Maintain an organized and efficient service yard and rental lot
  • Supervise equipment check-in/check-out procedures and post-rental inspections
  • Monitor and manage rental inventory, availability, and utilization rates
  • Coordinate maintenance and turnaround of returned rental equipment
  • Ensure compliance with rental policies, pricing structures, and procedures
  • Train and support team members on customer service, safety, and equipment use
  • Collaborate with sales and parts departments to support customer needs
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvements
  • Stay current on equipment specifications and technologies through vendor training
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members to maintain high performance
  • Analyze department performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement
