Requirements

High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or business preferred.
3+ years of experience in transportation planning, dispatch, or logistics operations.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of route optimization, scheduling systems, and transportation management software (TMS).
Understanding of DOT regulations and transportation compliance standards.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or business preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and support the service planning team to ensure consistent performance and productivity.
Develop and oversee daily and weekly route plans for drivers and equipment.
Optimize routes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and meet service commitments.
Monitor service levels, on-time performance, and key operational metrics.
Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, maintenance, and customer service teams to resolve service issues.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Review and approve schedule adjustments, load assignments, and special service requests.
Analyze transportation data and provide reporting on productivity, utilization, and service trends.
Assist in workforce planning, including scheduling, coverage, and peak demand forecasting.
Serve as the escalation point for planning-related issues and customer service concerns.
