Purpose of the Job This position was designed to direct and control the planning, processing and scheduling activities, to support order execution within Global Service Parts. The general function of the job includes: establishing schedule priorities, evaluating shop loads, maintaining the optimum level of inventory to satisfy customer requirements, and taking necessary actions to prevent and resolve overload conditions and delays in the manufacturing process. Nature of the Job Create, and maintain production schedules in assigned manufacturing area, taking necessary actions to ensure all requirements and delivery schedules are met. Such actions include administering activities of bill of material structure, accumulation of inventory, and tracking of purchased, outsourced and manufactured components. Duties include, but not limited to: Working with the diverse functional integration of inputs and outputs to accomplish the execution of manufactured items to the satisfaction of internal and external customers. Securing all necessary technical support for component processing Identifying and initiating procurement of raw and finished materials for the manufacture of components parts Support calculating delivery estimates to support order quoting process Relieving capacity restraints by developing and implementing corrective actions Manage loading and daily prioritization of responsible work centers. Participate in Inventory audits and cyclical reviews. Assist in development and documenting of procedures and improvement processes Responsibilities Keep Master Schedule and department production schedule updated, in order to provide delivery status information and predict bottlenecks or slack periods. Organize and chair production meetings/capacity review meetings as well as provide supporting meeting reports. Liaison with shop supervision to ensure accurate flow of information and that parts/assemblies are being worked on in correct sequence to prevent delays. Prepare and maintain visual work list to assist shop floor on prioritizing of machining/assembly activities. Track and expedite (as needed) related activities to support performance to contractual schedule and budgetary parameters. Key activities include but are not limited to: sourcing of raw material through necessary channels, logistics coordination, interdepartmental transfer of units and parts and final shipment coordination. Support customer expediting requests alongside Production Control and Operations Manager. Assist in developing and maintaining, departmental procedures and associated process metrics related to process cost, quality, cycle time and timeliness. Act as primary reference point for department ensuring continued flow of information regarding project status and completion dates. Communicates capacity constraints and availability., taking necessary action with Production Control Manager and Area Manager (overtime, shifts, outsourcing) to maintain schedule. Analyze inventory, participate in the annual Obsolescence Review process, and the yearly WIP and Point of Use Inventories. Schedule customer witness points where applicable with Quality Assurance. Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Cell Controller and Processing Clerk. Achieve the accurate and timely processing of the required detailed transactions to facilitate execution of orders. Transactions include, but are not limited to, the following: disposition of demand in ERP, creation of requisitions and discrete jobs (make/buy), outsourcing, ECN releases, NCR's, capacity planning, and inventory processing / control functions. Monitor system transactions to ensure accurate cost roll ups and timely month end shipments (where applicable). Contact with Others Internal contacts: All levels of management within the following functional areas: Inside Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Drafting, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Finance, Shipping, Warehouse, Tech Services, and shop floor personnel. External contacts: Supply chain personnel from other Ebara Elliott Energy business units. Infrequent contact with customers on order delivery related issues (via Project Management) and suppliers on material delivery related issues (via Procurement).
