About The Position

The Principal Architect at ServiceNow will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the ServiceNow platform, focusing on enhancing software delivery for internal teams and business users. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to drive platform scalability, governance, and the adoption of innovative GenAI capabilities, ultimately aiming to improve organizational efficiency and employee experiences.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of overall technical experience within software development.
  • 5+ years of experience within the ServiceNow platform.
  • 2+ years of architecture experience on the platform.
  • Depth in ServiceNow capabilities, integrations, and GenAI features.
  • ServiceNow certified CAS (Certified Application Specialist) and CAD (Certified Application Developer) preferred.
  • Proficient in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Proficiency in REST and other web service protocols for integrating ServiceNow with external systems.
  • Strong coding abilities in JavaScript for scripting, automation, and custom solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor teams and lead organizational adoption of new platform capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Experience with AI-driven automation and innovation in software delivery.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy, adoption, and process improvements for the ServiceNow platform.
  • Mentor teams in both advisory and delivery capacities to enhance delivery processes and platform capabilities.
  • Establish standards for platform architecture, data integrity, integrations, and technical health through technical governance.
  • Create innovative, scalable solutions to solve complex challenges using in-depth platform knowledge.
  • Facilitate discussions with senior leaders to define strategic business cases and align on platform objectives.
  • Translate detailed requirements into high-quality designs and implement clean, scalable, and reusable code.
  • Enforce best practices such as code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
  • Design and implement new platform features while enhancing existing ones for continuous improvement.
  • Create documentation to support decision-making and conduct training sessions for organization-wide adoption of ServiceNow features.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and platform capabilities to promote a clear vision and strategy.
