The ServiceNow Developer role at Entergy Services, LLC involves providing IT services and ongoing support for ServiceNow-based software solutions within the Operational Governance team. The position allows for engagement in the full application lifecycle as part of a scrum team, focusing on designing, developing, and supporting solutions that enhance Entergy's core IT processes.

  • Develop application features with configuration and custom code development.
  • Assist in the coordination of any changes, upgrades, and testing with support providers for external integrations and systems.
  • Participate in peer reviews for application changes.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies such as refinement, demo, and release planning.
  • Create workflows and build service requests based on customers' specifications.
  • Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionalities to automate rote tasks.
  • Perform system and integration testing; and monitor health, usage, and overall compliance within the application.
  • Generate reports as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, business administration, or other technical area of study OR equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 4+ years working as a software developer for an enterprise platform.
  • Solid analytic and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience working with Agile development teams.
  • Experience with JavaScript is required.
  • Familiarity with software development and design methodologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior ServiceNow experience
  • Understanding of design thinking techniques including Persona's, Journey Maps, and Business Model Canvas
