About The Position

The ServiceNow Developer I position is an entry-level role focused on enhancing the ServiceNow platform under the supervision of department leadership. The developer will analyze user needs, design, develop, and test solutions, while documenting all aspects for future reference. The role involves collaboration with other ServiceNow professionals to improve processes and support maintenance, ensuring the platform continually evolves to meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Education: Associates degree required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare or information technology preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with the ServiceNow Platform preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of application development and programming in C#, Java, C++, or related languages preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with process owners to understand functionality, pain points, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist analysts, administrators, developers, and stakeholders in scoping and planning ServiceNow solutions.
  • Communicate business requirements in a non-technical manner to service partners.
  • Use ServiceNow tools to develop, test, and implement solutions on the platform.
  • Implement non-complex solutions with guidance from experienced developers.
  • Read and interpret data flow diagrams and flowcharts for application programming.
  • Create and use update sets to move configurations between ServiceNow instances.
  • Understand existing custom applications and their integrations within ServiceNow.
  • Make updates to existing custom applications under supervision.
  • Update client scripts, UI actions, and UI policies with guidance.
  • Assist with testing developed solutions and platform upgrades.
  • Review integrations using ServiceNow best practices.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for errors and performance issues.
  • Create knowledge articles documenting policies and procedures for ServiceNow operations.
  • Monitor application supportability, performance, and availability.
  • Perform defined application maintenance and assist in defining metrics.
