About The Position

EquipmentShare is seeking a Service Manager for their rental facility in Hobbs, NM. This role is crucial for transforming the construction industry through innovative technology and real-time support. The Service Manager will lead a team of Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics) and will be responsible for leveraging proprietary technology to manage work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose equipment issues efficiently. The company is looking for an energetic and driven individual ready to contribute to building the future of construction.

Requirements

  • Industry knowledge (rental industry or a related construction field)
  • Innovative and dependable
  • Ideally three years of maintenance and service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Adaptable to the fast pace of a growing company
  • Able to quickly educate themselves about and stay up-to-date on the latest EquipmentShare products and services
  • Competitive, but thrive in a team oriented environment
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • High School diploma
  • Experience leading maintenance teams
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
  • Passing a background check
  • Passing a 10 panel drug screen (for safety sensitive position)

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school certificate
  • Experience in field service, maintenance and repair
  • Experience and/or a background in the construction industry

Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders
  • Track machine service intervals
  • Order parts
  • Diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models
  • Coordinate and supervise the quality performance of equipment mechanics and service personnel
  • Schedule repairs for customer and company owned rental equipment
  • Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and inform them about new EquipmentShare products and services
  • Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries, requests, complaints or other communications
  • Provide employee training and development and maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties, assigned as needed
