About The Position

Beztak, a national Real Estate Development, Construction, and Property Management company, is seeking a Service Manager. This position is responsible for supervising a maintenance team to ensure the property, grounds, and equipment are safe, orderly, and visibly appealing. Key duties include coordinating building space allocation, planning facility modifications, inspecting construction progress, motivating the team to provide excellent customer service and high-quality repairs, and performing various maintenance tasks such as building repairs, snow removal, and groundskeeping. The Service Manager is also responsible for hiring and developing team members and documenting appliance replacements, system repairs, and other major maintenance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or related Vocational Training and/or equivalent work experience
• 1-2 years supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

• HVAC knowledge and EPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
• Plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
• Inspects construction and installation progress.
• Motivate and hold accountable a team to provide excellent customer service and high-quality repairs in a timely manner.
• Performs various duties such as building repairs, snow removal, or groundskeeping to provide residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment.
• Responsible for the hiring of team members and providing continuous learning and development of their team.
• Documents replacement of appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters, condensers, etc., in all units. Also tracks systems repairs, apartment painting (full paint or touch-up), refrigerator coil cleaning, and other major repairs.
• Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills.
• Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.
