About The Position

Currently, we are seeking a Service Manager to support our Williamsport, MD location. Main Duties: Manages the daily work of Field Service Managers and Field Service Technicians Help to answer phones, help customers with technical questions Schedule and assist Field Service Technicians daily Assists Field Service Technicians on difficult jobs and when they need additional help Communicates effectively to customers on repair work as needed Works with other managers, sales representative and other staff to establish labor costs Assists, coaches, mentors, supports other service members and staff as needed Performs other related duties as required Hires, trains, oversees, Field Service Managers and Technicians Guides, advises and mentors Field Service Managers and Technicians Conducts performance evaluations that are both timely and constructive Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed in accordance with company policy

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of industry services, customers, procedures, and policies
  • Material handling industry experience required
  • Ability to motivate, mentor and coach service staff and managers
  • Thorough knowledge of all technical aspects of forklifts, heavy equipment and other related material handling equipment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical and diagnostic skills required
  • Read and understand schematics
  • Hydraulic, engine, electrical troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities
