About The Position

Founded in 1939, Hlavinka Equipment Company has built a reputation as a trusted agricultural dealership, serving Texas with quality equipment and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a driven and experienced Service Manager to lead daily operations and performance at our Donna location. The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring strong performance in safety, productivity, efficiency, and profitability. This role leads the service team, manages workflow, supports customer satisfaction, and ensures compliance with company standards and procedures.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations and employees within the service department.
  • Coordinate, manage, and monitor workflow, productivity, and overall department performance.
  • Arrange, approve, and manage technician schedules, including PTO.
  • Communicate job expectations clearly and consistently to team members.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify opportunities for development and improvement.
  • Assist HR with recruiting, onboarding, and training service department employees.
  • Ensure repair orders and service tickets are reviewed, finalized, and closed in a timely manner.
  • Establish and enforce departmental policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Support the Location Manager with facility housekeeping and maintenance (inside and outside).
  • Handle customer support and ensure service issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Serve as a liaison between the service department and upper management, contributing to operational and strategic goals.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with company safety standards.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, training, and warranty procedures.
  • Facilitate warranty claims and ensure accurate and timely submission.
