Position Summary The Service Manager reports to the Equipment Division Manager and is responsible for properly supervising and managing the Service Division, including these categories: stand-alone equipment quotes, tool repair center, service technicians, service coordinator, parts coordinator, planned maintenance agreements, and consumable sales growth with lead generation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft interface, including Outlook and Excel 
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally at all levels inside and outside of the organization
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure 
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Qualify, recommend, and create stand-alone equipment quotes for the sales force.
  • Direct and manage the tool repair center, including parts inventory control, tool repair technicians, tool repairs, and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise service technicians on day-to-day operations, oversee the growth and profitability of outside service technicians, including efficient scheduling, selling planned maintenance, and parts sales.
  •  Direct, train, and manage the service coordinator and parts coordinator to ensure performance to full capability.
  • Pipelines – maintain qualified and accurate information in Pipedrive
  • Project management for equipment and system sales to include purchasing, planning, invoicing, coordinating factory approval tests, installation, training, and aftermarket parts and service
  • Work in conjunction with all sales divisions and manufacturers regarding pipeline management to ensure equipment sales goals are maintained and exceeded
  • Proactively identify customer opportunities
  • Product or service issue problem-solving
  • Partner with sales and credit teams to ensure accurate A/R, including customer payments and credit activity
  • Act as the primary resource for management, sales, and customer service for all service issues 
  • Work closely with the Equipment Division Manager to develop and implement efficient best practices to increase growth and profitability in the Service Division.
  • Input and maintain service department data in CRM program to include appointments, quotes, planned maintenance,e and equipment information
  • Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis. 
  • Perform all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior and completing job duties and assignments.
