About The Position

DeSHAZO LLC. is seeking a service manager with strong knowledge of the overhead crane service industry to lead service technicians and business operations for our Houston, TX market. Key Responsibilities Proactively engage customers, sales personnel, estimators, engineers and production coordinators in order to properly plan, staff and execute all field service and installation activities. Develop service technicians through on the job training and formalized programs in order to maintain a qualified and professional team. Participate in the technician recruiting process by interviewing potential service technician candidates. Document and review service technician performance on an annual basis and recommend promotions. Provide employee coaching when needed. Communicate complex technical issues with customers throughout the course of service projects. Attend on site meetings and job walk throughs as needed. Aid in assisting other Service Managers within the company, when necessary, in areas such as resource sharing and project guidance. Receive incoming requests from customers, sales reps, technicians and management related to field service and inspection requirements. Coordinate, communicate, and dispatch service technicians to customer locations throughout the region. Proactively schedule repetitive and routine inspection and preventative maintenance visits with customers and technicians. Maintain a visible schedule for all technicians to facilitate planning objectives. Work with suppliers to order and expedite materials as well as assist in staging materials in preparation of upcoming projects. Document project status and customer communications to facilitate project completion

Requirements

  • Candidates would have 5+ years’ experience in the crane service industry in either management and/or engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be organized and self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn Deshazo product software.
  • Ability to stand/walk 95% of the work day.
  • Lift /Carry up to 45-50 pounds.
  • Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
  • Ability to push/pull material with equipment assistance.
  • Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
  • Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
  • Possess the ability to hear.
