About The Position

The NGF Service Manager will oversee pig health, care, and performance across multiple Wean-to-Finish and Grow/Finish sites. In this role, you'll support Farm Managers to ensure protocols are followed, goals are achieved, and continuous improvements are implemented, while also driving training, onboarding, and team development. The ideal candidate is an experienced swine production professional with strong organizational and leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coaching teams, and is committed to animal well-being, safety, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Some college coursework in animal science, agriculture, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of production experience with proven ability to manage site operations and deliver results (swine experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to prepare accurate reports.
  • Independent thinker with sound judgment, high attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Some college coursework in animal science, agriculture, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site service and oversight at assigned sites, ensuring compliance with protocols, SOPs, and performance standards.
  • Prepare and submit timely, accurate service reports that document site conditions, results, and agreed-upon actions.
  • Partner with Farm Managers to monitor animal health and production, improve KPIs and close-out results, and reduce variation across sites.
  • Support Farm Managers in training, onboarding, retention, performance management, safety practices, and marketing execution.
  • Communicate regularly with Farm Managers on animal health, site performance, employee development, safety concerns, and turnover risks.
  • Uphold animal well-being and euthanasia policies, enforce biosecurity protocols, and report any breaches to appropriate departments.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for non-feed cost savings within assigned pods/flows, while aligning with Area General Managers to share strategies.
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff, HR, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure timely updates, and support broader business strategies.
