About The Position

The NGF Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring animal health and well-being, monitoring nutrition and environmental conditions, and upholding Standard Operating Procedures across all sites. You'll partner closely with producers, contractors, and service staff to drive performance, resolve challenges, and deliver strong results.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of agriculture or animal science is preferred, with practical experience in livestock production.
  • 1-3 years of livestock experience (swine industry strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, set priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with producers, contractors, and team members.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to prepare reports and track information accurately.
  • A detail-oriented, professional individual with sound judgment, independent thinking, and a commitment to animal care and biosecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee swine production sites within your region under the direction of a Service Manager, ensuring consistent performance and compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and respond to animal health, environmental, and nutritional needs while supporting overall pig well-being.
  • Ensure vaccines, medications, and supplies are administered and managed according to protocols, including maintaining accurate inventories.
  • Prepare detailed service reports after each site visit, providing accurate assessments, agreed-upon solutions, and measurable value to both producers and contractors.
  • Partner with producers, contractors, and staff to resolve issues, build strong relationships, and ensure alignment with animal care standards.
  • Coordinate weekly schedules for farm visits and meetings, actively participating in close-out reviews and discussions with producers and contractors.
  • Communicate results and improvement opportunities clearly with the Service Manager, while representing Christensen Farms professionally in all interactions.
