Job Summary Summary: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred
- related experience 1-2 years preferred
- Knowledge of case cart assembly.
- Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management.
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred
- related experience 1-2 years preferred
Responsibilities
- Processes specialty and general instruments.
- Resets instrument sets without error.
- Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
- Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
- Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
- Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.
