Requirements

  • At least 2 years of prior mechanical or tire service experience required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of tire/mechanical service operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Solid computer skills and familiarity with tire service management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift heavy objects occasionally, and work in varying temperatures and noisy environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or degree in automotive or commercial truck repair; prior commercial tire, yard service, or ERS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, prioritize, and assign daily work for tire technicians, overseeing shop workflow and setting priorities for both shop and road service operations.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by promptly and professionally addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and service needs.
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards by ensuring all work is completed efficiently and according to company and industry requirements.
  • Provide training, direction, and hands-on support to technicians as needed.
  • Promote and support Bauer Built’s safety culture by enforcing compliance with regulations and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, status updates, and estimated completion times.
  • Perform hands-on work in the shop or service truck when needed to support team operations.
  • Participate in limited after-hours service call rotations for nights and weekends, primarily in a secondary on-call capacity.
  • Lead the training, onboarding, and documentation process for new service technicians.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
