About The Position

Parallel Ag proudly carries AGCO farm equipment plus a full line of parts to help all farming operations. With well-known brands such as Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Manitou, Gleaner, and more, you won’t find a more extensive inventory of field-ready equipment. Customers come to depend on Parallel Ag to get any job done and we are looking to add a highly motivated Shop Foreman to our team! The Shop Foreman is responsible for assisting with quality control of repair work performed by Service Professionals, ensuring equipment is fully operational and meets our high standards. This hands-on role involves working closely with Service Professionals to coach, train, and support their performance, while addressing escalated service issues when needed. The Shop Foreman will also assist with day-to-day shop operations and collaborate with senior management to enhance overall department efficiency and customer satisfaction. As Shop Foreman, this position will lead the department's daily activities, resource allocation, and staff development.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, vendors and customers
Ability to professionally manage difficult customer situations

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience in a mechanically oriented work environment (diesel engines, hydraulics) with farming or small construction equipment is preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee daily activities of the department to maximize scheduling and real-time utilization of resources; analyze and recommend service technician mix dependent upon customer needs
Work with other store management to ensure smooth coordination of workflow processes for the service professionals and staff
Identify needs and receives direction regarding challenges and/or obstacles
Enact contingency plans as needed in order to achieve customer service excellence
Respond to escalated issues/activities as necessary
Identify potential problems, troubleshoot and escalate issues to senior management if needed
Participate with senior management to post-analyze issues and offer input for future process improvements
Review ongoing performance of employees taking appropriate action as authorized by senior management
Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning processes as needed
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
Project a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its area of endeavors
Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative course of action which may be taken
Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the employees of the department
Maintain a qualified team and support them as needed
Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected of employees assigned to department
Determine standards of performance as a basis to review progress of employees assigned
Ensures proper training of all service professionals
Foster a cooperative working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivity
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
