We are searching for a Service Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will focus on developing and validating complex repair strategies for the Aurora Driver. You will serve as a critical link between engineering and operations, troubleshooting hardware issues and upgrading components to ensure our fleet remains at peak performance. In this role, you will Develop Repair Strategies: Create and validate complex repair procedures and strategies for Aurora Driver components. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Hardware organization—including Systems, Reliability, Vehicle Integration, and Fleet Operations teams—to identify and resolve technical issues. Troubleshooting: utilize a logical diagnostic approach to troubleshoot hardware faults and upgrade components. Documentation: Maintain precise documentation of repairs, upgrades, and diagnostic findings to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic Expertise: Proven experience using OEM diagnostic tools, methodologies, and logical troubleshooting frameworks.
  • Hands-On Attitude: Comfortable solving difficult challenges and ready to "roll up your sleeves" to expedite repairs.
  • Attention to Detail: A constant eye for quality and the ability to follow complex technical instructions with precision.
  • Communication: Excellent cross-team communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to diverse stakeholders.
  • A Collaborator: You communicate clearly and work well with teams across the hardware organization.
  • Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo diagnostics tools and certifications
