We are looking for a service engineer to help install and maintain large and complex 3D
printers that 3D print ophthalmic lenses. It is an exciting technology that is still being
improved by a large R&D team. The 3D printers are large and complex machines, with
electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, vacuum, UV lamps, inkjet printheads, and more.
The Service Engineer will cover the full range of all machine aspects, to be able to install,
troubleshoot and maintain the growing number of 3D printers, in the new lab in Redmond. The
printers are still being optimised, and with every R&D improvement, all printers need to be
upgraded to the latest status. The Service Engineer works along with the colleagues to learn to
know all aspects of the technology.
The Service Engineer is part of the OPO Global Service Team and reports to the Global
Operations Manager. The work is performed at our site in Redmond and involves occasional
travel to other sites in the world.
