Troubleshoot computer problems and determine source and advise appropriate action . Logs all calls to Track-It. Backup Computer Oper ator. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts 1st level problem determination and solving of user problems or questions in a courteous and friendly manner. Logs all calls in Track-It. Responds to hardware problems reported to the Help Desk. Assumes responsibilities of the computer operator when needed. Monitor online systems for problems Processes jobs according to daily schedule and distributes reports from jobs Monitors Help Desk Responds to hardware problems as they occur Has excellent customer service skills Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Has basic PC computer, Windows, and printer skills Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct Required Qualifications : Education and Training : High School graduate or equivalent. Associates of Arts in Information Systems or Technical certifications preferred. Minimum of 5 years of computer or help desk experience preferred. Experience with Cerner Millen ium preferred. Clinical background or understanding of healthcare IT environment preferred, but not . Work Shift Details: Various, Working all shifts, holidays and weekends.
