About The Position

Yark Automotive, the largest dealership group in Northwest Ohio is growing! If you have a desire to work within the Automotive Service Industry, where technology and customer service come together this position is for you. As a Service Department Representative - BDC at Yark, you’ll be responsible for working directly with our customers. You will help to navigate them through the Service process, building a relationship, listening to there concerns, asking the correct questions and ultimately scheduling their appointment. This position is considered a stepping stone to numerous other positions within the dealership, including Service Advisor. These activities follow thru on our mission of creating a world class automotive experience. Requirements

  • Ability to communication using multiple platforms
  • Strong desire to work in the Automotive Service field
  • Prior customer service, retail or hospitality experience welcome
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
  • Sales skills, great communication, and excellent customer service skills are a must.
  • Organization and thorough follow-up skills are necessary for staying in touch with the client prior to and after their appointment.
  • Current valid driver’s license is required for all employees.
  • Mathematical skills including, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones by greeting the customer and listening to their concern
  • Provide the most direct approach to the customer request using the processes and procedures that are in place
  • Working with the different computer platforms to look-up, schedule or followup on the customer request
  • Follow up with service department team and/or customer to ensure proper outcome
  • Attends/completes required training and department meetings
  • Regular and predictable attendance
