About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is currently seeking a full-time, highly motivated, mission-driven, team-oriented professional to serve as our Service Delivery Coordinator. We are seeking a Service Delivery Coordinator to provide leadership and supervision for aquatic programming and staff, ensuring a high-quality, safe, and welcoming environment. This position will be located at the Shady Grove Family YMCA. Key Responsibilities The Coordinator will work in collaboration with appropriate team members to implement and supervise programs and services in various branch operations. The Coordinator will Oversee daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring quality team and member experiences and operational efficiency. The Coordinator will actively manage scheduling to ensure department coverage while adhering to a 40-hour workweek (unless overtime is pre-approved by the supervisor). The Coordinator will deliver direct service by lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons up to 35 hours per week. The Coordinator will ensure that facilities and equipment used for all program activities are safe, clean, and in good working condition. Ensure the safety of all program participants. The Coordinator will support adherence to facility maintenance and cleanliness standards to ensure the safety of staff and members in all aquatic areas including the pump room. The Coordinator will support hiring, in-service training, and supervision of aquatics staff, including instructors and lifeguards. The Coordinator will work cross-departmentally in program areas as needed. This is a hands-on position that will require afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of relevant experience in aquatics.
  • Must obtain and maintain current aquatic, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to lead, organize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with PC software applications and scheduling tools.
  • This role requires a flexible schedule, including availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends, and a willingness to support operations across multiple departments as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid are strongly preferred.
