A service coordinator is responsible for assisting the management team in providing the best services for the clients based on their specifications. Service coordinators' duties include managing clients' requests and inquiries, providing client updates, monitoring changes and plan adjustments, and recommending strategic procedures to improve services. The service coordinator acts as the clients' advocate, explains the available options to the clients, and keeps records of the services offered. A successful service coordinator will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive relationship with the individual(s) they support. A service coordinator will need to utilize problem solving, time management, and organizational skills while working with the individual(s) they support. Service Coordinators make a positive difference in the life of the individual(s) they support.
