About The Position

The Area Coordinator plays a critical leadership role by ensuring smooth production operations, clear communication, and consistent area execution. This position provides direct support to employees, helps plan labor and workflow, and promotes a positive, accountable, high-performance culture. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem-solver, and hands-on leader with a proven track record in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Experience in a lead, coordinator, or informal leadership role strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards, production process, and manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily area operations to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Coordinate staffing, assign work, and ensure proper coverage throughout the area.
  • Communicate area expectations, updates, and operational priorities to team members.
  • Support employee engagement by providing coaching, guidance, and day-to-day leadership.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and other departments to act fast on challenges.
  • Monitor performance indicators (output, downtime, scrap, attendance) and address issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate shift logs and reporting.
  • Promote a safe work environment by leading by example and by enforcing safety policies. Work daily to build a safer environment.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Adopt the mentality of making our best better.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the area.
