About The Position

CGC (Child Guidance Center) is seeking a Service Coordinator to join our Community Action Team (CAT)—a high-impact program dedicated to supporting children and young adults (ages 6–21) with significant mental health needs. As a Service Coordinator , you’ll provide case management and mentoring services to youth and families, helping reduce out-of-home placements and build long-term stability. What You’ll Do: Deliver case management and mentoring in homes, schools, and community settings Partner with families and teams to create and implement service plans Coordinate care, link families to resources, and support crisis stabilization Assist with job readiness, social skills, and safety planning Document services in an electronic health record system (EHR) Participate in team supervision, peer review, and quality assurance Compensation and Benefits: Starting hourly rate ranges from $17.78 to $18.75 Additional pay for bilingual skills Annual bonus based on individual and company performance Generous PTO package 401(k) with 3% employer match Flexible Spending Plan for medical and dependent coverage Florida Certification reimbursement Annual Professional Development stipend Unparalleled mentoring and support Plus many more!!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related field which includes the study of human behavior and development.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with children or adolescents with serious emotional disturbances and behavioral needs.
  • Current FL driver’s license and good driving record plus reliable transportation with automobile liability insurance is also required.
  • Level 2 clearance from DCF Clearing house - https://info.flclearinghouse.com
  • Strong communication, organization and time management skills
  • A collaborative, flexible and person-centered approach to care.
  • Familiarity with community resources and behavioral health systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in Targeted Case Manager is preferred
  • Trained in wraparound, family systems, crisis intervention, teenager or young adult suicide prevention and trauma-informed care
  • Three (3) plus years of experience working directly with crisis level adolescent is preferred.
