The Service Bulletin Engineer will design new and revised service bulletins using engineering data, principles, and tools to deliver cost effective solutions that meet customer satisfaction in terms of safety, quality, and lead time. Your working environment: The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe. Your challenges: Responsible to produce or revise highly complex Service Bulletins in accordance with defined processes and procedures according to program and schedule requirements Review impacted aircraft configurations fleet wide to determine the configuration requirements of the Service Bulletin. Analyze digital mockup (DMU), engineering drawings, other design documents, etc. to define the methodology, procedures required in the design of the Service Bulletin. Generate list of parts and materials derived from the engineering drawings. Define appropriate man-hours to complete Service Bulletin embodiment. Define figures, tables, and charts to be included in the Service Bulletin. Support the Service Bulletin Illustrators as required to ensure quality of illustrations included in Service Bulletin. Define work steps of the Service Bulletin and ensure the proper sequence of steps

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in engineering or related field.
  • 0 - 6 years of experience in an engineering classification.
  • Technical understanding of aircraft cabin and avionics systems modifications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills.
  • Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams.
  • Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities
