About The Position
Subaru Santa Monica is an innovative and highly respected leader in the automotive industry. We’re growing our team and looking for a motivated, persuasive, and customer-focused Service BDC Representative to join our Service Center. As a Service BDC Representative, you’ll be the voice and first impression of our Service Department. Your role will focus on driving service business through proactive communication and persuasive follow-up:
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience in a call center, BDC, or high-volume customer contact role required (automotive experience preferred).
- Proven sales or negotiation ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets
- Exceptional communication, listening, and persuasion skills
- Strong organizational habits and attention to detail
- Energetic, upbeat, and professional attitude
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, polished, and driven to succeed
- 18 years or older required
- All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen
Responsibilities
- Proactively reach out to customers to schedule and confirm service appointments
- Use sales and negotiation techniques to encourage customers to bring their vehicles in for maintenance, recalls, and repairs
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, texts, and emails with a goal-oriented, customer-first mindset
- Overcome objections and present the value of timely service and genuine Subaru care
- Follow up with previous customers, missed appointments, and declined services to convert opportunities into booked appointments
- Collaborate closely with Service Advisors and management to maximize daily shop capacity
- Maintain detailed, accurate records and consistently meet or exceed service appointment goals
