THE ROLE As a Service Associate in our Life Services team in Lancaster, WI, you will play an important role in supporting individuals with disabilities as they build independence, explore opportunities, and work toward personal goals. In this position, you will provide hands-on support across several programs at our Lancaster site, including Day Services, Prevocational Services, Community Employment, and our Thrift Store operations. Your work will help individuals develop life and workplace skills, build meaningful relationships, and connect with their community. Every day looks a little different — you may be helping someone learn a new job skill, supporting a group activity, assisting with community outings, or helping participants explore new interests. Your work will create meaningful opportunities and lasting impact. SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00 an hour Status: Part-Time (up to 29 hours per week) Schedule: Hours may vary based on program needs Location: Lancaster, WI and surrounding community Travel within the community may be required to support participant activities and employment opportunities

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of issues affecting individuals with disabilities
  • Comfort using technology including Microsoft Office or similar software systems
  • Ability to work independently while adapting to the needs of participants and programs
  • Ability to obtain First Aid certification within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Experience supporting employment readiness or skill development

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered services by facilitating both one-on-one and group activities that support participant goals, including life skills, employment readiness, recreation, and social development.
  • Support individuals in Prevocational Services by helping participants develop workplace skills such as teamwork, task completion, communication, and responsibility.
  • Assist participants in Day Services programming, supporting daily engagement, skill development, and meaningful activities.
  • Provide support within Community Employment services, helping individuals build job readiness skills and succeed in work environments.
  • Assist with operations in the Aptiv Thrift Store, providing support to participants while contributing to customer service and store operations.
  • Promote community inclusion by helping participants build friendships, develop leisure interests, and connect with community members and resources.
  • Follow participant development plans, behavior plans, safety protocols, and care guidelines to ensure high-quality support and positive outcomes.
  • Provide assistance with personal care tasks when needed, including hygiene support, mobility assistance, and other daily living needs.
  • Monitor and support participant health and safety, reporting any concerns or changes to supervisors and team members.
  • Complete accurate documentation including service notes, progress updates, and time tracking in a timely manner.
  • Provide safe transportation for participants when necessary, including use of Aptiv vehicles and support for individuals learning to navigate transportation options.
  • Maintain professionalism by attending team meetings, completing required training, and following all Aptiv policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
